riffe-horizontal-reel-low-pro
Riffe Horizontal Low Pro Speargun Reel

Overview

The Riffe Horizontal Low Pro is a compact speargun reel for keeping the working line attached directly to the gun while hunting around kelp, reefs, and wrecks. Its horizontal layout keeps the reel close to the speargun, while an indexed slide lever provides defined settings for line deployment and drag control.

Drag and line control

The slide lever moves between free spool and three progressively higher drag positions. Free spool minimizes resistance as line deploys, while the light, medium, and heavy settings provide increasing resistance for controlling line during a run and retrieval. A stainless steel bail guides the line at the spool and helps reduce tangling as line moves in and out.

When adding or replacing reel line, position the speargun with the reel facing upward and wind the line counterclockwise onto the spool.

Mounting and compatibility

Mount selection should match the profile of the speargun stock or barrel. The Flat mount is intended for Euro-style spearguns, including Riffe Euro Series, Marauder, Sabre, and compatible Raider models. The Radial mount is intended for radial stocks, including Riffe legacy mid-handle, Standard, and Competitor series spearguns. Compatible spearguns from other manufacturers can also accept the reel when the stock or barrel shape suits the corresponding mounting base.

Flat-base installations can use threaded inserts on compatible Riffe models or properly pre-drilled mounting points on suitable wood stocks. Radial-base installations can mount directly to suitable wood stocks. Threaded inserts are recommended when the reel will be removed frequently because repeated installation can wear the original wood threads and leave mounting holes exposed.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0734/7394/9888/files/266e85a1-eb85-4e14-b7f3-87e5c97c144c.webp?v=1789955207
