Its enclosed channel keeps the shaft constrained as it accelerates, helping control shaft whip and maintain alignment during firing.

Design and function

By surrounding the shaft rather than leaving it fully exposed along the track, the channel limits lateral shaft flex during acceleration. This support helps keep the shaft aligned as it exits the speargun.

Installation and use

The track installs into a routed dovetail groove, with track size selected to match the intended spear shaft diameter. The 9/32-inch track uses the small enclosed-track dovetail router bit, while the 5/16-, 11/32-, and 3/8-inch tracks use the large bit.

Because the shaft is enclosed by the track, loading begins by feeding the shaft into the front of the channel and sliding it rearward into the trigger mechanism. On close-range shots, allow the shaft to clear the track completely before lateral load is applied to help avoid track damage.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0734/7394/9888/files/ecb88a28-17c1-4fe3-be18-8974b6edd962.webp?v=1790480178
