It retains the loaded spear shaft and releases it when the trigger is actuated.

Operation and line release

The mechanism engages the square notch at the rear of a compatible shaft to hold it under band tension. When the trigger is pulled, the shaft is released while the included line release allows the shooting line to deploy with the shot. The standard line release is not auto-resetting, so its position should be checked as part of the reloading process.

Installation

The mechanism is secured with included stainless steel retaining pins, and correct positioning of the mechanism, line release, and line-release pin is important during a custom speargun build. A matching Neptonics installation jig can be used to establish these locations accurately before drilling or cutting the stock.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0734/7394/9888/files/014c7871-c29f-4590-9e3c-b37b53b13606.webp?v=1790479947
